On Tuesday, a meeting of the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situation will be held, which will consider the introduction of a yellow level of epidemic threat throughout Ukraine from September 22. This was discussed at a conference call chaired by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

According to the Ministry of Health, over the past week, the number of confirmed new cases of COVID-19 has increased by 68%, and hospitalizations - by 51%.

"The burden on the health care system is still under control. Intensive care beds are occupied by 33%, oxygen beds by 29%, but the number of people receiving oxygen therapy on these beds is 19%," Minister of Health Viktor Liashko stated.

Due to the worsening of epidemic situation, the Government at an extraordinary meeting approved a decision to extend the adaptive quarantine until December 31, 2021.

Apart from that, the meeting participants tackled holding the next meeting of the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situation. During it the question of the introduction of yellow level of epidemic danger across all territory of the country from 00:00 on September 22, 2021 will be considered.

The Prime Minister emphasized that at the same time new rules of adaptive quarantine will come into force, which will ease the restrictions for those facilities and education in which at least 80% of staff received a one vaccine dose.

"We have retrofitted the approach to quarantine restrictions and allowed such venues to operate so as not to halt the economic and educational process in our country. The state has enabled every citizen to be vaccinated free of charge with various vaccines of their choice. Vaccination remains a priority in counteracting the spread of the disease," Denys Shmyhal underscored.

The Health Minister dwelled on that that mobile vaccination teams were moved to educational institutions last week.

The attendees also stressed the importance of counteracting the forgery of documents certifying vaccination and a negative PCR result for COVID-19.

The Head of the National Police Ihor Klymenko briefed on the results of an inspection of forgery of COVID-19 vaccination documents last week. Thus, 14 inspections were conducted concerning the facts of falsification of PCR test results, vaccination certificates, international vaccination certificates and covid certificates. Of these, 2 inspections in medical institutions, and 2 - in travel agencies. The illegal activities of three doctors and seven intermediaries in six regions of the country were documented. 50 international vaccination certificates, 107 PCR tests were confiscated and 1 telegram channel was used to distribute such documents.

The Prime Minister commissioned the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, together with the Security Service to continue work on exposing persons and web resources that produce and distribute forged documents and harm the health of Ukrainians.
