The Government has approved a draft decree on the signing of a Grant and Project Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) and the Communal Enterprise Chernivtsivodokanal, which provides for the attraction of EUR 16.4 million in grant funds from KfW for the modernization of the municipal water supply system in Chernivtsi.

In particular, the funds will be used for the reconstruction of main water supply networks, pumping stations, and treatment facilities, purchase and installation of equipment (smart meters, repair and measuring devices, chemical laboratory equipment, special and technological transport, tools, etc.)

It should be noted that the draft order was developed pursuant to the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Germany on financial cooperation, which had been concluded on December 17, 2020 and ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on June 15, 2021.
