Ukraine extends a helping hand to Turkey: Ihor Klymenko

Pursuant to the Decree of the President of Ukraine "On Providing Humanitarian Assistance to the Republic of Turkey" and the instruction of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is sending a search and rescue team to Turkey to eliminate the consequences of the powerful earthquake.

A consolidated search and rescue unit of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine is being sent to the Republic of Turkey to assist in the aftermath of the earthquake, in accordance with part two of Article 135 of the Civil Protection Code of Ukraine.

According to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, almost 90 rescuers and 10 search and rescue dogs will start working as soon as possible to eliminate the consequences of the terrible earthquakes.

"Ukraine extends a helping hand to Turkey. Our specialists have the necessary experience and equipment. Their skills will definitely help the Turkish specialists. We express our condolences to the people of Turkey and the families of all the victims. We share your pain and remain by your side in this tragedy," the Interior Minister emphasized.
