    Today, on January 30, Acting Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen.

    The parties discussed the further development of Ukrainian-German cooperation in the areas of activity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the conditions of war.

    "We are grateful that the Federal Republic of Germany continues to assist the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in what we work to ensure that every citizen of our country feels safe and believes in our victory," said Ihor Klymenko.

    The interlocutors also tackled humanitarian demining of large areas of Ukrainian territory contaminated with explosive ordnance. They also talked about strengthening assistance in this area, as a third of the country is still mined.

    In his turn, Ihor Klymenko noted that pyrotechnic units of the National Police and the State Emergency Service were working on demining Kherson region, which is the most mined region of the country.

    At the same time, Anka Feldhusen noted that the Federal Republic of Germany would continue to support the Ministry of Internal Affairs together with the international community.
