Ihor Klymenko: Children must study, and we, adults, must create safe conditions for them
Children must study, and we, adults, must create safe conditions for them. This was stated by Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko during his working visit to Kharkiv.
In particular, the Minister visited children who have started school in the Kharkiv metro. There are 61 classes for children of all ages in five metro stations.
“Kharkiv is the intellectual capital of our country. It is reviving, but not online. At the moment, most classes are filled with first-graders. The most important thing is for the parents of these children to be sure that we can guarantee their safety. I hope that these children who came to school today will not see or hear missile attacks and the sorrow that the enemy has brought to our country in these 1.5 years,” said Ihor Klymenko.
The Interior Minister said police and rescue workers were on duty at every station to protect children from possible threats. For safety reasons, patrols will also accompany school buses transporting students from remote areas of the city.
