Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, posted 06 September 2025 10:54

The Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, through the Brave1 defence cluster, have launched new grant competitions for manufacturers of Ukrainian missiles and explosives.

Eligible participants include manufacturers of:

  • Tactical ballistic missiles;
  • Anti-aircraft missile systems for countering UAVs.

Manufacturers of anti-UAV missiles and proprietary ballistics can receive over UAH 100 million for their developments.

“Supporting these areas will foster the growth of the private missile production market, the creation of long-range strike capabilities, and reliable air defence,” emphasised Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal.

The grant programme also welcomes manufacturers of explosives, including:

  • High explosives;
  • Initiating explosives combined with initiation systems;
  • Nitrocellulose as a key component of smokeless powder (with a full raw material processing cycle).

Explosives manufacturers can receive up to UAH 150 million, provided they co-finance 30%.

“This support will enable manufacturers to launch or expand production lines, purchase equipment, chemical components, and systems, allowing our defenders to effectively strike the enemy,” noted Denys Shmyhal.

Applications are open until 9 September. Details: https://grants.brave1.tech/ (in Ukrainian).
