The Swedish Government has decided to contribute nearly USD 30 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
This was announced by Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko following a meeting with Swedish Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch in Stockholm on February 27.
“In addition, Sweden will allocate funds to support the IAEA mission working at all Ukrainian nuclear power plants. It is also important for the observers to be able to record the impact of russian attacks on our energy system, as well as nuclear and radiation safety,” said German Galushchenko.
The Minister of Energy added that Ukraine constantly received both monetary assistance and equipment from international partners to help restore energy facilities from the consequences of russian attacks.
