German Galushchenko discussed with Jennifer Granholm the need to consolidate international efforts to counter russian terrorism in the energy sector
The Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko held a telephone conversation with the Secretary of Energy of the United States Jennifer Granholm.
German Galushchenko emphasized that massive russian attacks on energy facilities throughout Ukraine had been going on almost continuously for more than a week.
"This is a signal that the struggle on the energy front is intensifying. russia loses directly in military actions, so it began to use terrorist tactics more actively against civilians. Our citizens are becoming hostages of russian energy terrorism. This is especially critical on the eve of the heating season's start," German Galushchenko noted.
He emphasized that now more than ever, the consolidation of international efforts is needed to confront russia on the energy front and attract aid to protect and restore Ukraine's energy sector.
Jennifer Granholm, in turn, assured that the US would further render maximum assistance and support to Ukraine at all levels for as long as Ukraine needs that.
