The IMF mission led by Mr. Ron van Rooden that was working in Ukraine November 14-22, 2019, commended the tangible progress made over the last few months in implementing reforms.
The mission also placed a special emphasis on pursuing sound economic policy.
"We had constructive discussions. The mission assessed the significant progress made over the past few months", the Prime Minister of Ukraine said.
It should be noted that according to the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oksana Markarova and Head of the IMF Mission Ron van Rooden, progress was also achieved in discussions on policies and reforms that can underpin a new IMF supported program, including monetary, fiscal and financial sector policies, and also reforms to improve the business environment, strengthen the rule of law, and increase economic growth.
"We continue working on the new program in close cooperation with the IMF," the Prime Minister underscored.
