The Government initiative to establish fair, market-based, and not unreasonably high prices for hot running water and heating means restoring justice and depriving citizens of the need to pay for the mismanagement of local authorities. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on the air of the TV channel "Ukraine".
"This is my desire to restore justice," Volodymyr Groysman claimed.
The Prime Minister recalled that in the winter of this year he instructed to analyze the formation of the price for heating and hot water in different regions. It turned out that the price for heating and water is very different though the price of gas is the same for all regions.
"Our task is to protect people so that they do not pay for mismanagement and ineffective use of heating. I have commissioned the Ministry of Justice to develop the program "Fair utility bill". We will reduce prices to economically feasible ones, but not unreasonably high prices. The local authorities should invest resources in building good boiler houses", the Prime Minister stressed.
