His Holiness Patriarch Filaret, who is celebrating 90th anniversary today, is truly the spiritual leader of Ukraine, Prime Minister of Ukraine emphasized, congratulating His Holiness Patriarch Filaret.

"You had a difficult life with great trials, at different times when it seemed that you were going against everything and everyone but with God in your heart and with faith in Ukraine,"Volodymyr Groysman stressed. 

The Head of Government underlined  that only now people understand that they had to fight for the success of the country from the first day of independence as Patriarch Filaret did.

"We will win due to our steadfast faith and unity. Ukraine will be a prosperous country thanks to Your serving, the feat of our soldiers, volunteers, and all those who are struggling for a great European Ukraine.  You fought and believed that our country would survive and receive the right to its church. You followed your way by going through obstacles, threats and dangers. But you stood up for what you believed.  Today you are trully the spiritual leader of our state. We express our gratitude, respect  and love! ", Volodymyr Groysman underscored.
