The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine continues a tradition of quarterly reporting on work, and another report - for 9 months - is not just a list of only progress, but a real overview of the situation in the country, an assessment of what has been done and what has to be done in the coming periods. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during a Government sitting.

"We report every quarter. And this is not blague regarding our successes, but a report on what has been done, what objectives and challenges are ahead", said Volodymyr Groysman. "We must be open and transparent."

The Head of Government stressed that the statistical indicators prove that Ukraine's economy is stable with the positive development dynamics. Substantial changes occur in a number of sectors, including fiscal. "Following the introduction of anti-smuggling measures, customs revenues increased from UAH 1.33 billion a day to UAH 1.75 billion a day. Plus the sum worth about UAH 400 million are the daily revenues", said Volodymyr Groysman.

The sector of management of state property, according to the Head of Government, is also changing dynamically.
Professional supervisory boards are established in major state-owned companies, new management principles are introduced. "We have introduced a system of electronic bidding for small privatization. There have been already conducted 203 successful auctions with a twofold rise in cost on average. Furthermore, it means that 203 objects will have new owners, new workplaces created", said Volodymyr Groysman. "We have fulfilled the rental income plan. And now we see a serious potential in this sphere."

Separately, the Head of Government focused on the employment segment and the situation regarding de-shadowing of wages - in the context of, first of all, the Government's initiative to verify compliance with the law when hiring of employees. Thus, due to inspections, more than 47 thousand agreements have been concluded between employers and employees.

Agribusiness support programs, according to the Prime Minister, have also proved effectiveness. "We will continue financing this direction," said Volodymyr Groysman. "The only thing we see is separate bureaucratic barriers, first of all, in the segment of support for farmers. So, we – farmers and the Government - have to overcome this challenge in synergy."

Energy supply is the permanent focus of attention for the Government. Volodymyr Groysman assured that Ukraine is provided with fuel for the current heating season. And, most importantly, the price of gas in the coming months and until the end of the heating season will not increase. While the subsidy program will protect everyone who needs targeted assistance.

The results of healthcare system reform are considerable. Thus, already 20 million Ukrainians have signed a declaration with their physicians, and 623 medical establishments have concluded direct contracts with the National Health Service. Doctors who work in these institutions receive wages under the new principle Money Follows the Patient. "We also address the issue of expanding the Available Medicines program - including, with the view to the delivery of drugs. We have to provide everyone (who needs medicines under this program)", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

Defense capability is financed steadily - according to the plans. "We have already allotted UAH 118 billion. More than 2 thousand weapons units have been manufactured. All the programs are shaped and financed according to the planned expenditures", emphasized Volodymyr Groysman. "Separately I want to single out aan issue of the social protection of military personnel. 667 apartments have been allocated, 19.8 thousand land plots - to ATO participants."

The Head of Government noted that October is coming to end and the essential objective is to demonstrate tangible result the year of 2018 and enter smoothly the year of 2019. And here it is important to approve a realistic and balanced state budget. "I hope that by December 1, Ukraine will receive a balanced, realistic state budget. That would imply that we enter the year of 2019 with confidence and our actions will be anticipated", added Volodymyr Groysman.
