The delays with the payment of pensions that took place in July are within personal responsibility of the leadership of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, and by the end of the week it is vital to resolve the situation. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said during a government meeting with the leadership of the Pension Fund, the State Treasury, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Social Policy.
"I'm concerned about the situation in regions that there are delays in pension payments. It’s personal responsibility (of leadership of PFU) to fulfill obligations to pensioners in time. You must settle the situation by the end of the week. In addition, I commission an official investigation - both concerning the actions of the head of the Pension Fund and the leaders in the regions. In case the delays are repeated, I won’t forgive. To create additional problems for people is inadmissible", the Head of Government urged.
The PM drew attention to the fact that the state, for its part, timely allocates all budget transfers. Hence, it’s time for the Pension Fund to get to work. "The central budget has no debt to the PFU. We fulfill our commitments in full. Take all the steps to prevent the situation repeating. Pensioners should be respected and protected", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
