The management of any state-owned company, primarily Naftogaz of Ukraine,  is  indentured employees whose functions are to effectively manage a state company rather than to speculate on gas prices for population. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman made this statement at the Government meeting.

The Prime Minister recalled that today, on April 24, the deadline according to which Naftogaz should find a solution to reduce the gas price  for the population expires.

"On Monday, April 22, the Naftogaz CEO understood my instructions clearly. From May 1, they reduce the price per thousand cubic meters. I think this will not be the last decrease, because the markets demonstrate this tendency (the corresponding dynamics) ", Volodymyr Groysman said.

Volodymyr Groysman also reminded that the price issue became the second warning message  for Naftogaz's management. "The first epic slight problem was a contract, the second – gas prices, there won’t be the third one. If the Naftogaz management team does not understand that they are hired  workers to effectively manage the company, and not to  speculate on gas prices for population, the consequence will be one - the dismissal  of  the management", the Prime Minister said.
