This year budgetary allocations for the purposes of the National Guard of Ukraine make up UAH 800 million, and further provision for officers, both in terms of armor and in terms of cash benefits, is included in the Government's agenda for the near future. This was stated by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman during his visit to the International Interdepartmental Multidisciplinary Training Center for the National Guard units.
"For four years we have succeeded in creating conditions (for operation of National Guard), we will prolong our activities to provide support to the troops. This year, we allocate the sum worth UAH 800 million to cover the needs of the National Guard. The Ministry (of Internal Affairs) has a strategy (of development of the National Guard), we will invest in it. Let's keep abreast with the times", urged Volodymyr Groysman.
He drew attention to the fact that the logistics support for the National Guard in certain articles – in particular, ordnance - stimulates the development of the domestic defense industry, because a lion’s share of the hardware is produced in Ukraine.
