On May 12, the Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko had a telephone conversation with the European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson.
The European Commissioner reaffirmed the solidarity with Ukraine aimed to ensure energy security in the fight against a full-scale invasion by russia.
The parties discussed the situation around the actions of the occupiers, which resulted in the emergence of force majeure under the gas transit agreement.
Also in the dialogue, the parties paid special attention to finding mechanisms to increase the volume of Ukrainian electricity exports to Europe as soon as possible.
The European Commissioner assured of political support to find a faster solution to this issue.
