Today, December 16, at its meeting, the Government approved amendments to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, thereby extending the implementation of the pilot project on the introduction of e- permits for international road haulage until December 31, 2021. This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklii.
"This year we have launched a pilot project to introduce electronic forms of permits for international road conveyance through the transport portal of e-services e-transport.gov.ua. During this time, the service was used by thousands of carriers, who praised its work. The term of implementation of the experiment was planned up to December 31 of the current year, but the pandemic and the introduction of quarantine in Ukraine delayed the adoption of a sectoral order for the introduction of appropriate electronic permit forms on a permanent basis. Therefore, we are finalizing this order and extending the implementation of the pilot project until December 31, 2021," the Minister explained.
According to Vladyslav Kryklii, in 2021 the Ministry also plans to develop a separate electronic platform for multimodal container transportation. In addition, within the framework of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) the Ministry of Infrastructure is already developing an e-format mechanism for exchanging information on issued international road haulage permits and working separately with the Government of Kazakhstan on the introduction of electronic one-time permits for international road haulage.
