Export Credit Agency supports Ukrainian exports worth UAH 8.9 billion since the start of 2025: Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture

Over the first seven months of 2025, Ukraine’s Export Credit Agency (ECA) has supported exports amounting to UAH 8.9 billion, an 84% increase compared to the same period last year, when the figure was UAH 4.8 billion.

Additionally, since January, the ECA has insured 55 loan agreements totalling UAH 847.9 million, twice the amount insured during the same period last year (UAH 382.2 million).

In total, 54 exporters have utilised the ECA’s services since the beginning of 2025.

“The ECA employs various insurance tools to support exporters. The Agency insures both export contracts directly, covering risks of non-payment by foreign buyers, and loans provided by banks to producers for their foreign economic agreements. This enables Ukrainian producers to confidently engage with new markets, while banks are more willing to lend to exporters, even in wartime conditions. Every hryvnia of insured credit helps an exporter sell goods worth over ten hryvnias, bringing funds back to Ukraine. Such multifaceted support for non-commodity exports is a practical implementation of the Made in Ukraine policy,” said Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Andrii Teliupa.

The largest volumes of supported exports were facilitated by CREDITWEST BANK JSC, with UAH 3.4 billion in exports supported through UAH 210 million in loans. This is followed by Oschadbank JSC (UAH 1.8 billion in exports, UAH 180.9 million in loans), Ukrgasbank JSC (UAH 1.5 billion in exports, UAH 165.9 million in loans), and Raiffeisen Bank JSC (UAH 1.3 billion in exports, UAH 65.5 million in loans). Other active partners include Kredobank JSC, BANK ALLIANCE JSC, Pivdenny Bank JSC, MTB Bank JSC, and Ukreximbank JSC.

Regionally, Lviv region led with UAH 2.5 billion in supported exports, followed by Khmelnytskyi region (UAH 1.4 billion), Ternopil region (UAH 1.2 billion), and Volyn region (UAH 1.2 billion). Notable contributions also came from Odesa region (UAH 525.04 million), Mykolaiv region (UAH 391.9 million), and the city of Kyiv (UAH 387.3 million).

The largest export destinations included Poland (UAH 2.6 billion), Austria (UAH 1.07 billion), Lithuania (UAH 553.9 million), the Netherlands (UAH 510.9 million), and Estonia (UAH 445.7 million). Other export markets included the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Slovakia, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Bulgaria, Romania, Israel, the United States, Italy, Turkey, and India.

The sectors receiving the most support were wooden packaging (UAH 1.4 billion), furniture (UAH 1.3 billion), and oils and animal fats (UAH 1.09 billion).
