On 26 March 2025, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleh Nemchinov met with Minister for Economirs of Latvia Viktor Valainis on the sidelines of the XI meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Latvian Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

During the meeting, Oleh Nemchinov expressed gratitude to the Latvian side for the comprehensive support of Ukraine and noted the significant contribution of the Ministry for Economics of Latvia to the restoration of Ukraine's infrastructure, in particular Chernihiv region, which was destroyed by russian aggression.

The Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine also noted the strengthening of the bilateral economic partnership between Ukraine and Latvia and the common desire to develop trade relations between our countries.

In turn, the Latvian side reaffirmed its readiness to continue to provide Ukraine with political, financial, humanitarian, military and technical support and to promote Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlanticintegratingn.
