Affordable loans at 5-7-9%: since the beginning of the year, Ukrainian businesses have received 19,557 preferential loans worth UAH 73.2 billion

Last week, Ukrainian entrepreneurs received 511 loans worth UAH 2.4 billion under the Affordable loans at 5-7-9% programme. In total, since the beginning of 2024, businesses have received 19,557 soft loans totalling UAH 73.2 billion, and since the start of the 5-7-9% programme (February 2020) – 98,500 loans totalling UAH 340.1 billion.

“The Affordable loans at 5-7-9% programme helps Ukrainian producers invest in the production of high value-added products. Processing companies have received UAH 17.2 billion of concessional funds since the beginning of the year. This stimulates the development of the real economy even during the war. Another UAH 17 billion of loans were provided to companies operating in the high-risk zone. This helps them maintain economic activity and save jobs,” said Deputy Minister of Economy Andrii Teliupa.

Under the programme, businesses received:

  • UAH 19.4 billion – to replenish working capital;
  • UAH 17.2 billion – for processing;
  • UAH 17 billion – for lending in the high-risk combat zone;
  • UAH 15.4 billion – for investment loans.

The programme is most commonly used by companies operating in agriculture, processing, wholesale and retail trade.

Among the regions, the leaders in terms of the amount of loan agreements concluded are Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Poltava regions and the city of Kyiv.

As of today, 46 banks participate in the programme, with Privatbank (45,900), Oschadbank (15,200) and Ukrgasbank (5,500) disbursing the largest number of loans since the programme’s launch.
