
Prime Minister: Over a thousand vehicles and thousands of rescuers involved in the aftermath of the bad weather
Heavy snowstorms have left more than 572 settlements in 12 regions without power and blocked traffic on 8 motorways.
According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a Government meeting, a round-the-clock headquarters for road emergencies has been set up in advance. The headquarters is actively working and consolidating the efforts of all critical services.
“More than a thousand vehicles of the Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development and the State Emergency Service are currently involved in responding to the bad weather, thousands of personnel are working and about a thousand heating stations have been deployed,” the Prime Minister said.
Denys Shmyhal thanked all police officers, rescuers and road workers who were helping Ukrainians cope with the consequences of the bad weather.
