On Friday, 23 February, a high-level event on the return of Ukrainian children abducted and deported by russia was held at the UN Headquarters as part of the Stolen Voices campaign, which is part of the Bring Kids Back UA action plan.

“The illegal deportation and forced russification of Ukrainian children by russia is part of the kremlin’s genocidal policy against the Ukrainian people,” said Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in his speech.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister called on the audience to join forces and increase pressure on russia to return all deported Ukrainian children. He also stressed the importance of bringing all those responsible for these crimes to justice.

To this end, the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children was established at the initiative of Ukraine and Canada, and 28 countries have already joined. The Minister called on partner states to join the coalition to help bring every Ukrainian child home.
