Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba met in Kyiv with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatif Al Zayani, who was on his first visit to Ukraine in the history of bilateral relations.
The parties discussed food security and Bahrain’s participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine, which will become the largest project since the World War II and a driver of growth not only for Ukraine but also for the economies of the partner states.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister invited Bahrain to attend the Ukraine Recovery Conference in London in June this year.
“We had a very deep, thorough and frank conversation, for the first time in the history of our relations. We agreed to intensify not only bilateral relations, but also relations between Ukraine and the Gulf countries, in particular in the format of the Gulf Cooperation Council,” said Dmytro Kuleba.
He noted that Ukraine and Bahrain were working to intensify business contacts.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister informed his counterpart about the situation on the frontline and presented President Zelenskyy’s peace formula. The Minister invited the Bahraini side to actively participate in its implementation.
