The Verkhovna Rada today has supported critical bills for our economy that will allow the country to ensure a much faster development, Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk said.
“Today we have witnessed real progress towards de-shadowing of the Ukrainian economy. In the first reading, we passed bills that enable us, first, to motivate consumers to receive fiscal receipts. Second, we demand to use them due to the simplifying and reducing the cost of the process of cash registers application. Third, through these measures, we improve the level of consumer protection. At that, one should understand that these documents will be further updated together with the public, businesses and profile experts”, the Prime Minister explained.
According to him, the support by the Verkhovna Rada of the bill No. 1080 will allow reducing the pressure on business, thereby encouraging it to engage in legal doing business. The draft law is designed to humanize criminal liability for tax evasion, and it also eliminates the possibility of pressure by law enforcement officials exercising monitoring compliance with tax law.
The Prime Minister praised the role of passing Bill No. 1076 on improving public procurement: “It is critical to ensure the development of a competitive procurement environment in Ukraine. Moreover, we harmonize the Law of Ukraine on Public Procurement with the EU Procurement Directives. This is important in the framework of the implementation of the Association Agreement."
“Besides, the Parliament voted in favor of another important initiative from the economic block of reforms - Bill No. 1050. Its implementation will facilitate the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. Excessive regulation must sink into oblivion”, Oleksiy Honcharuk emphasized.
It’s worth reminding, today the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported bills No. 1080 (On amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine on reduction of pressure on business), No. 1076 (On amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Public Procurement" and some other legislative acts of Ukraine on public procurement improvement), No. 1050 (On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine to reduce the list of business activities to be licensed) and in the first reading supported No. 1053-1 (On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the application of cash registers in the field of trade, catering and other services" on the de-shadowing of payments in the sphere of trade and services) and No. 1073 (On the Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine on the de-shadowing of transactions in the sphere of trade and services).
