Ukraine has a single border - a state one that must be safe, in terms of protection, and easy, in terms of customs clearance of goods for legal business. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the Government session. He stressed that the fight against smuggling kicked off by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, is an enormous challenge that must be tackled by joint efforts. The sooner this message becomes clear to everyone, the faster the country will move towards irreversible positive transformations.
"Our efforts are aimed to break this chain. Everything that belongs to citizens will return to the budget. Last year additional revenues obtained from the payment of customs duties made up UAH 70 billion. This year we can achieve even more additional resources, Volodymyr Groysman underscored. - I urge everyone to take on performance of work with honor and responsibility for the benefit of people who urgently need our assistance - from soldiers on the front line to pensioners".
The Head of Government recalled that that measures designed to ensure border transparency have already been taken. One of them is unblocking of holding a tender for the purchase of scanners for customs checkpoints, which will allow controlling cargoes with minimal use of the so-called human factor.
