The State has purchased 20,000 unmanned aerial vehicles for the army through the electronic catalogue Prozorro Market.

We are talking about such UAVs as DJI Mavic, DJI Matrice, DJI Phantom, AUTEL EVO II, FPV, etc. Their total value exceeds UAH 1.7 billion.

Prozorro Market operates as an online store for public procurement. The main part of it is administered by the Professional Procurement State Agency.

Drones are usually purchased through the e-catalogue not only by military units, but also by communities, which then transfer the UAVs to the army. Overall, more than 250 customers regularly purchase drones through Prozorro Market.

"The transparency, flexibility and accessibility of Prozorro Market make it a universal tool that can meet not only civilian needs but also the needs of our army. At the same time, the state saves money without losing quality and can use these resources to buy additional equipment needed by our security and defence forces. The volume of drone procurement in Prozorro Market is constantly growing. In particular, in May this year, the number of drones purchased was 10,000. Over the past two and a half months, their quantity has doubled," said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

One of the key advantages of Prozorro Market is its speed and high competition. In addition, its catalogue is regularly expanding, with new drones available for purchase. Currently, about 120 suppliers sell drones in the e-catalogue, and the average competition is 9 bidders per procedure.

"Due to the high competition in the e-catalogue, the State can effectively use the funds. The savings on drone purchases through Prozorro Market are already UAH 110 million. These funds can be used to purchase additional drones. The Professional Procurement team is actively adapting Prozorro Market to the needs of wartime. In particular, we are working to ensure that more and more items necessary for the military can be purchased quickly and conveniently in an electronic catalogue," said Yevhen Yakubovsky, Director of Professional Procurement.
