Assistance to entrepreneurship remains one of the core areas of the Government's work, in particular, through the eRobota program and the Own Business program. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a forum dedicated to the anniversary of the program's effect.

According to Denys Shmyhal, more than 6,000 grants from the state worth more than UAH 4.5 billion were approved a year after the program was launched. This will enable the creation of about 20,000 new jobs.

"Non-refundable business grants are a real investment of the Government that promotes the growth of entrepreneurial activity, generates added value, changes the structure of exports, creates new jobs, guarantees social stability, and develops communities," the Prime Minister emphasized.

Denys Shmyhal noted that Own Business to support micro and small businesses had become a key component of the eRobota program. According to him, the state provides Ukrainians with an effective tool to realize their ideas and plans. The total amount of support under the Own Business program has already amounted to more than UAH 1.3 billion.

"The second component of eRobota is processing enterprises. The program is aimed at developing Ukraine's export potential and medium-sized processing enterprises. Our strategic goal is for Ukraine to export processed products with maximum added value rather than raw materials. In total, we have already paid out UAH 2.8 billion in grants to enterprises operating in this area," the Head of Government noted.

Own Garden and Own Greenhouse became the third component of the eRobota program. According to the Prime Minister, UAH 500 million has been allocated to farmers in this area.

A separate area is grants for defenders: veterans and their families. Denys Shmyhal emphasized that veteran business was part of the transition from military to civilian life.

"This opens up new opportunities for self-fulfillment, new opportunities for veterans and families of fallen defenders of Ukraine. Such support will increase the welfare of thousands of Ukrainian families and strengthen the economy," the Prime Minister said.

According to the Head of Government, in the first half of the year, the Ukrainian budget received more than UAH 600 billion in taxes, and every hryvnia of these taxes was directed by the Government to finance the army and defense sector.

"During these one and a half years of full-scale war, our economy has demonstrated incredible adaptability and resilience to all uncertainties. First of all, I thank Ukrainian businesses for that. For your resilience, for your work, for supporting our army in these tough and unpredictable wartime conditions," said Denys Shmyhal.
