The Prime Minister of Ukraine took part in a ceremony to honour the memory of soldiers who had died for their country. Together with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Head of Government laid flowers at the Wall of Remembrance of the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine on Mykhailivska Square in Kyiv.
"Today, as every single day, we once again say "thank you" to the defenders. Thank you for the fact that Ukraine exists because of you. And thanks to you, there will be Ukraine," said Denys Shmyhal.
The ceremony was also attended by Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council Oleksiy Danilov, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, government officials and military commanders.
