The Government will submit to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on the ratification of the Agreement between Ukraine and Turkey on cooperation in the field of high technologies, aviation and space industries. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced at a session of the Cabinet of Ministers, on July 19.

“Among other things, this will allow us building a factory in Ukraine for the production and maintenance of the far-famed Bayraktar UCAVs,” noted the Head of Government.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the Gov’t engages in strengthening our cooperation with international partners in security matters. In particular, the PM thanked the European Union the decision to allocate the fifth tranche of EUR 500 million to provide Ukraine with the necessary weaponry.

“This is another critical decision allowing us to change the parity in all types of weapons in favor of our army on the battlefield,” – emphasized Denys Shmyhal.

Besides, during the session the Government has approved the leveraging of another grant from the United States of America worth USD 4.5 billion. The funds, according to the PM, will be transferred through the Trust Fund created by the World Bank.

“This is a clear demonstration by our allies of pursuing a policy of standing firmly by Ukraine and helping us bringing our victory closer,” Denys Shmyhal accentuated.
