The Government is working on several initiatives to address the problem of unjustified searches of businesses, seizure of documents and property arrests. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a Government meeting on 30 January.
The Head of Government stressed that business activity had an impact on economic recovery and the ability to finance the country’s defence. Therefore, the Government will continue to support Ukrainian businesses and introduce additional incentives for entrepreneurs.
“In this regard, we have important decisions of the National Security and Defence Council and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Two decrees were signed on the establishment of the All-Ukrainian Economic Platform and the Council for Entrepreneurship. These are communication platforms aimed at strengthening interaction between the state and entrepreneurs, eliminating misunderstandings and improving the business climate,” said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister stressed that the Government was also working in this area. Draft laws on the re-launch of the Economic Security Bureau have been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
According to the Head of Government, the relevant bodies will be tasked with regulating the issue of profit margins for state contracts in defence procurement: “This issue must be resolved so that businesses can work, develop and invest in the defence of our country.”
