Denys Shmyhal and Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine discuss expanding cooperation
Minister of Defence of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held discussions with Japan’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Masashi Nakagome, on expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Denys Shmyhal emphasised that Ukraine is open to sharing innovations and technologies that can save lives and strengthen peace.
“I invited our Japanese partners to participate in implementing projects across several key areas, particularly in the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers. I also proposed considering support for one of the centres where released prisoners of war from the Defence Forces undergo recovery,” stated the head of the Ministry of Defence.
Denys Shmyhal expressed gratitude to the Japanese government and people for their comprehensive assistance and solidarity.
“Japan is a reliable partner whose support is profoundly felt in our country,” underscored the Minister of Defence.
