At a meeting on 9 April, the Government allocated UAH 24 million for the overhaul of the Chernihiv Central District Hospital's outpatient clinic. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

“The enemy devastates the medical infrastructure. Almost 1,800 medical facilities have been either destroyed or damaged: hospitals, outpatient clinics, polyclinics and maternity hospitals. Together with our partners, we have rebuilt 512 facilities and partially restored another 358. The work is ongoing”, Prime Minister told accentuating that among the priorities for the country’s recovery is the healthcare sector.

Moreover, the Government passed a resolution recognising the medical vehicles provided by our partners as humanitarian aid, hence those will be imported on a declarative basis. This will allow to expand vehicle fleet for the sector to meet all the needs, according to Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the states, organisations and institutions that helped Ukraine preserve the quality and accessibility of medical services.
