On 16 June, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal paid a working visit to the Mykolaiv region. The Head of Government got familiarised with the progress of the restoration of centralised drinking water supply in Mykolaiv.
"The full restoration of water supply in Mykolaiv is one of the priority reconstruction projects in the region. As a result of hostilities and russian shelling last year, water supply lines were damaged. At that time, we promptly provided a centralised supply of process water to the city. Now we are restoring water supply for drinking purposes," said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister reminded that last week the Government had allocated UAH 120 million for this project. He thanked the partners, in particular Denmark, for their assistance with the equipment. According to him, the project will help to achieve the required drinking water quality indicators and return its supply to Mykolaiv.
