Denys Shmyhal: More than UAH 10.2 billion of support will be provided to regions and hromadas to exercise their powers

At a meeting on March 10, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the first stage of distribution of an additional subsidy from the state budget to local budgets for the exercise of their powers, financing salaries and utility payments in the amount of over UAH 10.2 billion. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

“The relevant funds will help hromadas balance the financial condition of local budgets, taking into account the number of internally displaced persons, and will support those hromadas that have been negatively affected by the full-scale russian aggression,” the Head of Government noted.

According to the Prime Minister, the funds are provided for 17 regions and 853 hromadas. The second stage of the distribution of subsidies to local budgets will be carried out on a quarterly basis.
