Ukraine is grateful to Romania for its strong support in all areas during the russian aggression. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a joint briefing with Prime Minister of Romania Marcel Ciolacu in Bucharest on 18 August.
“We are grateful to Romania for its support of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula, for its readiness to train Ukrainian pilots on modern Western aircraft, for its support of EU and NATO membership, for its constructive position on the transit of Ukrainian grain, for its hospitality to more than 125,000 Ukrainians who have found shelter from the war in Romania,” Denys Shmyhal said.
According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, the parties discussed the creation of the EU Ukraine Facility programme, which will provide Ukraine with up to EUR 50 billion over 4 years, as well as the involvement of the Romanian business community and Romania as partners in the restoration of Ukraine.
The Romanian Prime Minister stressed that his country would support Ukraine as long as it takes – until complete victory.
