As part of the Government delegation’s working visit to the Czech Republic, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel in Prague.

Denys Shmyhal spoke about the successful joint consultations between the governments of Ukraine and the Czech Republic, which resulted in the signing of seven documents. He also thanked the President of the Czech Republic for the initiative to supply ammunition.

“The Czech initiative is already active. The first 50,000 shells have arrived in Ukraine, and some of this ammunition is now destroying the russian occupiers on the frontline,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine said.

The parties discussed the implementation of the agreements reached at the meeting of the Presidents of Ukraine and the Czech Republic in Washington, the strengthening of Ukraine’s air defence and the challenges in the energy sector.

Denys Shmyhal thanked Petr Pavel for his personal involvement in the Global Peace Summit and the NATO Summit, stressing that Ukraine greatly appreciated these efforts of support.
