During a speech in the Verkhovna Rada, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed reference points and elements of the new Ukrainian Doctrine, which are in line with many of the Government’s projects identified as priorities for this year. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“This is a new vision and a new philosophy of what our success will look like, what we need to do, what our values and guidelines are. The President has outlined five reference points of the Ukrainian Doctrine for discussion: the philosophy of our victory, the global nature of Ukrainian security, the policy of heroes, the policy of justice, and the transformation of Ukraine in the next 10 years,” the Head of Government said.
According to the Prime Minister, each ministry should now present a roadmap of changes in line with the elements of the new Doctrine announced by the President. It should be a comprehensive, clear and public strategy.
“Everything should be set out in a clear structure. All documents should be open to public scrutiny, discussion and debate. It will be the personal responsibility of each minister,” said Denys Shmyhal.
