Denys Shmyhal and Boris Pistorius discuss strengthening Ukraine’s defence capabilities

In London, Ukrainian Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal met with German Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius.
The Minister of Defence of Ukraine expressed gratitude to Germany for co-organizing the Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting and for its substantial contribution to enhancing Ukraine’s defence capabilities.
“Particularly significant is the ‘deep strike’ initiative, valued at EUR 300 million, which Germany is providing for the procurement of long-range drones for Ukraine,” said Denys Shmyhal.
He further conveyed gratitude to his counterpart for the commitment to provide Ukraine with two Patriot air-defence systems, an action that will play a crucial role in protecting the lives of Ukrainians.
