In order to better coordinate all work in this area, a separate structure, the State Humanitarian Mine Action Center, has been commissioned to set up announced Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a Government session.

"The Center will participate in the planning of mine action measures and ensure the demining quality management system to operate," the Head of Government emphasized.

According to the Prime Minister, representatives of the Center will also be actively involved in cooperation with international partners. He emphasized that Ukraine was creating a broad coalition of countries that could help ensure that the demining process would not last for decades.

In addition, according to Denys Shmyhal, the Government initiates a new state policy in the field of mine action to speed up the demining process.

The key elements of this policy will be as follows:

- updating national mine action standards;

- creation of an effective state demining program with prioritized territories;

- creation of a market for demining services, competition between demining operators, and involvement of as many international operators as possible with the financial support of our partners;

- educational and communication campaigns;

- active use of innovative technologies.
