Denys Shmyhal: Children's safety is a top priority in the educational process

The Government has approved a resolution on the start of the school year. The educational process will start on September 1, 2023, and will last until June 28, 2024. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the CMU session.

"The most significant thing is the safety of children and the educational process. The construction of comfortable and high-quality shelters is the number one issue that we have raised with the communities. Funds have been allocated for this purpose. UAH 1.5 billion. Local authorities and communities play a key role in these decisions," the Head of Government emphasized.

According to the Government's decision, regional military administrations with the participation of the educational institutions' founders should ensure the organization of the beginning of the school year depending on the security situation in each individual administrative-territorial unit.
