The working meeting of the delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine led by Denys Monastyrskyy with the Chief Commandant of the State Fire Service of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Bartkowiak was held at the National Headquarters of the State Fire Service of the Republic of Poland.

At the beginning of the meeting Denys Monastyrskyy thanked Polish colleagues for their support and assistance. Further, the discussion was focused on the organization of response and joint activities on the areas of the Polish-Ukrainian border, the experience of the State Fire Service of the Republic of Poland in the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union - a system of international coordinated operational assistance in emergency situations.

Earlier, Ukraine received a roadmap to officially become part of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. The document contains specific steps that Ukraine must take before obtaining full membership in the mentioned system.
