The Government is ready to help young people and businesses to be mutually beneficial, as high-quality preparation of young people for their future profession is a promising geopolitical advantage of Ukraine.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced during a ceremony of signing of the new Ukrainian "Pact for Youth 2025". The event was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Vadym Huttsait, Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Ihor Petrashko, acting Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet and business representatives.
Denys Shmyhal thanked employers for the initiative, which enables young people to receive mentoring, study and prepare for future professional careers.
"In Ukraine, 30% of the population are young people, this is the potential of our state. The enterprises members of the Pact have committed themselves to providing them with practical skills before embarking on their careers. It expands the horizons, talents and opportunities for young people," said the Prime Minister.
According to the Prime Minister, 49,000 young people benefited from the program under the previous pact. Almost 150 employers took the initiative and joined the project.
"The authorities express readiness to help in the regulatory, legislative part, so that the Ukrainian youth have the opportunity to prepare well for their future careers," said Denys Shmyhal.
In the concluding speech, the Prime Minister called on businesses and young people to become more actively involved in this initiative.
