
Denys Shmyhal: Government has increased the costs of COVID-19 treatment through the "packages" of the National Health Service of Ukraine
During its regular meeting on November 17, the Cabinet of Ministers increased the costs of COVID-19 treatment in Ukraine through the "packages" of the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) by almost 15%. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"From November 1 this year, the total rate for medical institutions for the treatment of coronavirus will grow up to UAH 634,000. This rate will be paid for staffing, medical devices and medicines," told Denys Shmyhal.
In addition, the Government has allocated UAH 33 million to strengthen the capacity of the medical system in Donetsk and Odesa regions.
"Almost UAH 25 million will be allocated for Donetsk region for the additional purchase of 535 oxygen concentrators. UAH 8.5 million will be spent on the reconstruction and purchase of medical equipment for the infectious diseases department of the Ananyiv Multidisciplinary Hospital in Odesa Region," the Prime Minister said.
