The Government during the meeting on April 19 allocated almost UAH 16 billion to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

According to the Prime Minister, the main funds will be allocated for the payment of salaries to the military, for the repair and modernization of equipment, for payments to the families of fallen heroes.

" Our Armed Forces are holding the fort in all directions, including the hero city of Mariupol. We believe in our victory and we believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Providing our defenders remains a priority for the Government. We allocate billions of hryvnias for this every week," Denys Shmyhal stressed.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine also decided to allocate UAH 17 billion to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the Prime Minister, these are funds for border guards, National Guards and police, who are part of the defence forces and are destroying the russian occupiers all over the front.
