    The Government has set up a headquarters to prepare for the autumn-winter period of 2022/23 during martial law. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

    "This spring, we still managed to successfully conduct the most difficult sowing campaign in the history of the state. The country's logistics routes have been completely rebuilt. Now we need to prepare for the most difficult heating season in the history of Ukraine, which awaits us this winter, "said the Prime Minister.

    According to Denys Shmyhal, the staff will be headed by Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov. The tasks of the headquarters will be balancing the power system, carrying out repairs, prompt solution of all problems, the formation of the necessary level of communication between all levels involved. According to the Prime Minister, representatives of local authorities, heat suppliers, the regulator and the state company Naftogaz will be involved in the headquarters.

    Denys Shmyhal noted that specialists have already made the first calculations to understand how much gas, coal and what repair work needs to be done.

    "Losses of energy infrastructure and energy have already reached tens of billions of hryvnias. In these conditions, the Government is doing everything to ensure that all Ukrainians have light and warmth this winter. Repairs and modernization of equipment and networks are now a key task to be done jointly by the Government, local authorities and businesses, "the Head of Government stressed.

    The Prime Minister said that repair work had already begun on the spots where possible. The Ministry for Communities and Territories Development is responsible for the implementation of reconstruction projects.
