On Thursday, July 2, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine Darkhan Kaletayev.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Ihor Petrashko.
The parties raised issues of trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
"Ukraine is seeking further development of cooperation. Our priority is to find new ways to overcome the negative trends in bilateral trade," stressed Denys Shmyhal.
The Head of Government expressed hope that the 14th sitting of Ukraine-Kazakhstan Interstate Commission on Economic Cooperation would take place in the near future.
"The second meeting of the working group on increasing trade turnover in online mode can contribute to that," noted the Prime Minister.
Moreover, Denys Shmyhal added that he supports the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
For his part, Darkhan Kaletayev noted that Kazakhstan is interested in participating in investment projects in Ukraine.
