During a working trip to the Zakarpattia region, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal together with the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Eduard Heger visited the Specialized Secondary School of I-III Grades № 4 with advanced study of the Slovak language.
Denys Shmyhal stressed that cooperation in the field of culture and protection of the rights of national minorities have always been priorities in bilateral relations with Slovakia.
"We are constantly working to improve the system of general secondary education in terms of learning foreign languages. This can be seen in the example of a school in Uzhhorod with in-depth study of the Slovak language," said the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
According to Denys Shmyhal, maintaining a network of Ukrainian language schools and support from the Slovak state for Ukrainian education in Slovakia is also key for Ukraine.
