Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal met with investors and producers of renewable energy.
The discussion gathered together Deputy Head of the Office of the National Investment Council under the President of Ukraine Yulia Kovaliv, acting Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection Olha Buslavets, MPs, investors as well as renewable electricity market players.
During the meeting, the parties prolonged the discussion of the Memorandum between the Ukrainian authorities and RES producers on the restructuring of green tariffs.
Speaking at the meeting, the Prime Minister thanked investors for their constructive position and expressed hope that the signing of the Memorandum would primarily benefit the ultimate consumers.
"I understand the position of each investor. However, the final price for electricity is paid by the consumer - that is, all the citizens who buy goods in stores. The Government is acting to protect their interests. That is why we are following this long path of negotiations, and I believe we will reach a compromise," summed up Denys Shmyhal.
