Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a working trip to Kirovohrad region on October 26, got familiarized with the state of reconstruction of the municipal institution "Regional Specialized Children and Youth School of the Olympic Reserve - 2".

The Head of Government inspected the sports infrastructure of the school and the implementation of repair works of the second stage within the President’s program"Great Construction".

"During the Olympics and major international competitions, the attention of the whole country is always focused on our talented athletes. Their success is the success of Ukraine, so we must provide them with proper training conditions. "Thanks to the President's program" Great Construction", such establishments receive a modern sports infrastructure for the education of future champions," Denys Shmyhal accentuated.

The Prime Minister talked to the children and also presented a valuable gift to Bozorba Matyakubov, the youth European boxing champion and a pupil of this school.

Regional Specialized Children and Youth School of the Olympic Reserve – 2 is engaged in the selection and training of reserve athletes for the national teams of Ukraine and participation in national and international competitions. The facility has five Olympic sports departments (athletics, boxing, baseball, softball and football) with approximately 600 children and 31 coaching staff.
