Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal got acquainted with the activities of the state enterprise Novator, which launched the development of artificial lung ventilation devices using Swiss technology.
"Novator enterprise has signed a contract with a Swiss company to obtain technology for the production of oxygen concentrators, which are now an integral part of the COVID-19 treatment protocol. It was important to see the production with our own eyes and make sure that the allocated funds are directed to cover the country’s’ needs of artificial lung ventilation devices and to ensure expert of them", Denys Shmyhal stressed.
In addition to the production of medical equipment, according to the Prime Minister, Novator is also one of the leaders in strengthening Ukraine's defence capabilities.
"Equally important is the contribution of this company and other high-tech Ukrainian companies in the dynamics of the national economy. Their production capacity provides an opportunity not only to recover from the pandemic but also to ensure sustainable growth on new technologies, rather than on the raw materials sectors," the Prime Minister stated.
The PM added that the Government is currently shaping a Strategy for the development of the industrial complex until 2030 and a Program for partial compensation of the credit rate for the purchase of basic production equipment by enterprises, which is used directly in the production of industrial products.
